Lancer Prototype-S goes into market with a 180kW/ 241 bhp and 343Nm 2.0-litre engine, same as the Evo X’s but weakened to rival the likes of Focus ST, Mazda3 MPS and Astra OPC. The more direct rival of course is the Impreza WRX.
The combination of its 4WD system, as well as the SST twin clutch gearbox should make this a dragster of note in this class of car.
