EDO COMPETITION FERRARI 599 GTB FIORANO






German high performance turner, Edo Competition, has turned its attention to the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, and is now offering several upgrade packages, topped by a 6.3-litre FXX engine conversion which raises power output to a claimed 750 bhp.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is just the latest Italian supercar that Edo Competition has recently tuned up, recently it has provided upgrades for the Lamborghini Gallardo and Murciélago LP640 as well as the fearsome Maserati MC12. Other cars it has developed performance improvement packages for include the Audi RS6, Mercedes-Benz CL500, Ford GT, Aston Martin DB9 and Porsche 997/Cayenne.

Edo Karabegovic is the founder Edo Competiton Motorsport GmbH. After training in a famous Ferrari workshop in South Germany, he worked with different racing teams all around the world. He soon started to perfect Ferrari and Porsche Models technically and optically and to him, the experiences from the racing sport were very helpful. Since the year 2000 Christian Heitgreß has been the foreman and Director of the team, guides the garage.

In the years 1998, 1999 and 2000 Edo Competition won the Team Ferrari Porsche Challenge. In 2001, after the end of the racing series, the team built a spectacular simulation of a 996 GT3-R for the street company from the 99th cup Carrera. This was the beginning of making individual dream cars out of standard vehicles. With performance-enhanced engines, driving-dynamic components or glamorous interiors, Edo Competition create the individual dream car from the standard vehicle irrespective of vehicle manufacturer. An experienced team of specialists and engineers from all fields of automobile construction, work at the company headquarters in Ahlen. Here requirements are met to the highest standards.

Engine available in 2 output levels: Level 1 – F599 GTB: Recalibrated ECU, modified intake system, performance exhaust system and high-flow; catalytic converters; Realised output: est. 650 hp. Level 2 – 630 GTB; 6.3 ltr. FXX – engine conversion; Realised output: est. 750 hp.

Wheels: 20“ racing wheels; Front: 9.0x20, offset 27 with Pirelli tires 245/35R20; Rear: 11.0x20, offset 42 with Pirelli tires 305/35R20, painted wheel face and stainless steel outer rim. Upon request the wheels can be painted in custom colours.

Edo/KW sport suspension; Racing suspension technology for the road with adjustable compression and rebound damping. Independently adjustable compression and rebound damping permits truly individual suspension setups. The unique system, with its three different adjustments, allows for low-speed compression damping characteristics to be altered while the highspeed settings, having a strong influence on ride-quality, remain constant. Sport spring set: colour red, lowering rear: 40 mm, front: 20 mm

Edo performance exhaust system: Newly developed high-flow exhaust system with electronic butterfly valve control (remote control to adjust the sound intensity available upon request).
