Alfa Romeo Spider by Novitec

Novitec has added some finishing touches to the new Alfa Romeo Spider, just in time for the cabrio season. The open two-seater was voted Cabrio of the Year 2006 after its launch at the Geneva Motor Show that year.

Novitec has designed a new front bumper and rear diffuser to underline the aerodynamics and to make it stand out from the factory spec Spiders. Novitec also bolted on a new stainless steel rear silencer accentuating the sound, while the four tailpipes (115x85 mm ovals) add some aggressiveness to the back end.

Novitec also supplies some new footwear for the Alfa Spider, 20 inch N9 multi-piece rims wrapped in Pirelli 255/30R20 rubber while the suspension, adjustable in height from 35 mm to 75 mm and ride stiffness, ensures optimum grip.

Gamballa Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R.

German tuning house Gemballa is turning its Porsche amps to eleven once again with the shockingly powerful Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R.

The Avalanche offers performance modifications that should make ordinary 911 Turbo owners sit up and take notice. Most prominent of these is a set of two Garret T035 turbochargers in place of the standard units, which boost output to a wild 850 horsepower. A rise in engine capacity to 3.8-liters, along with GT3-R heads and a machined crankshaft also aid in creating such prodigious thrust.

Visually, the Avalanche has gotten even more aggressive to match its newfound power, adding 19-inch three-piece alloy wheels, a two-part carbon fiber rear wing, and a matching, vented front hood.

Massa Receives Unique Fiat 500

Felipe Massa, number two driver for the Ferrari Scuderia Formula One team, received a unique and very sporty Fiat 500 from his employer. Fiat really tries to take care of their drivers, but as always some (Felipe Massa) have it better than others (Michael Schumacher).

Felipe Massa's new Fiat 500 brings 120 bhp to the road through its fine tuned 1,4 liter engine. His autograph is embossed into the sill scuff plate and the exterior has been personalised with some unique graphic details. The unique Fiat 500 Sport is painted in Pearl White with brown Cordura interior, Skydome sunroof, 16 inch diamond alloy wheels and the customary red brake calipers.

Fiat Powertrain Racing (FPT) have worked their magic on the 1,4 liter 16V engine and raised power to 120 bhp from 100 hp, a little below the 135 hp Fiat 500 Abarth and well below the expected 160-170 hp from the Fiat 500 Abarth SS

New Audi A3 Sportback

Here are a few spyshots of an undisguised Audi A3 Sportback facelift.

Mini Cabriolet 2008

Mini Cabriolet 2008 has been spotted undisguised during one of the last testing sessions. As you can see form out photogallery, the car's development seems to be quite advanced.

When the roof is down, the 2008 Mini Cabriolet 2008 is very similar to the previous model, but this is a brand new model though. We think all Mini's fans won't find the car they expected to find: as a matter of facts, the new British baby-convertible will maintain the same traditional retractable roof.

In terms of powertrain, the new Mini is expected to be powered by the 1.4 unit of Mini One, the 1.6 BMW-PSA of Cooper and the aggressive 1.6 turbo of 175 hp of the Cooper S

King of the Road at Barrett-Jackson auction

Ford has made a special, one-of-a-kind Mustang GT500KR with the new glassroof especially for the annual Barrett-Jackson auction in October.

“It’s the ultimate platform for selling the world’s most remarkable cars, and we’ve created a unique GT500KR just for the occasion.” said Robert Parker, Ford car marketing manager.

The 540 hp special edition GT500KR went into production on January 11, Carroll Shelby's birthday, in Las Vegas. The new glass roof will be the third roof option for the V6 Mustang range, and on this unique black-on-black GT500KR, the racing stripes are tinted onto the glass.

“Barrett-Jackson will be a rare opportunity for one lucky bidder to own a Shelby GT500KR with a glass roof, a car no one else can even buy,” said Carroll Shelby

Toyota Venza Crossover

Toyota is riding the new trend wave with its own version of the crossover, this time combining the performance of a sedan with the functionality of an SUV. Nothing new there but we expect the Toyota Venza to become a solid player in the segment.

"It will cater to buyers who are looking for the value and reliability of a Camry, the comfort and upscale refinement of an Avalon, and the utility and functionality of a Highlander SUV in one very stylish and sporty package." said Bob Carter, Toyota Division group vice president and general manager.

The Toyota Venza has been specifically designed for the North American market, and it will not leave North America either. Which is just as well really since it is nothing more than a station wagon with a higher ride height.

The front fascia looks good with its very distinctive grille and headlights, while the rear is adorned with an angled rear hatch, rear spoiler and wide wraparound tail lights. There are two engines available, a 2.7 liter four-cylinder (no specs available yet) and a 3.5 liter V6 with 268 hp and 246 lb. ft of torque. Both use a six-speed sequential shift automatic transmission in are available as either Front- or All-Wheel-Drive.

The car measures 189 inches in length, is 75 inches wide, 63.4 inches high, has a 109.3 inch wheelbase and a ground clearance of 8.1 inches. The V6 rides on 20 inch alloy wheels (245/50R20) while the 4-cylinder comes with either 19 or 20 inch alloys.
